Sierad Produce Seeks Bank Loan of Rp 300 Billion
(Jakarta, Investor Daily, 10 September 2007), PT Sierad Produce Tbk will seek funding in the form of bank loan worth around Rp 200-300 billion in the near future. The fund shall be used to finance working capital of the company.
"The company prioritizes bank loan next month," said Corporate Secretary of Sierad Produce Elies Lestari Setiawan to Investor Daily in Jakarta, Thursday (6/9).
For that matter, the company has approached some local banks, although it has not been able to make decision. The decision to select the bank that provides the loan is based on loan interest rate.
When asked about the possibility of seeking funding through bonds issue, she stated, that it was one of the alternatives. But, it will not be realized in the near future. Previously, the company planned to issue bonds worth around Rp Rp 200-500 billion.
Elies added, this year the company has planned to spend Rp 48 billion in capital expenditure. The fund was set aside from the internal reserves. Some of this capital expenditure shall be used for the chicken-breeding farm.
Currently, Sierad owns 12 breeding farm located in West Java and Lamongan, East Java. The additional breeding farm is intended to serve the market demand.
The company will also increase the purchase of locally grown corn as the main ingredient for the feedmill production and optimizing the corn drying facility.
In the mean time, for the purpose of efficiency, the company reduces the energy expenditure from solar fuel to electricity or coal. Subsequently, the company will increase the number of partnership that has reached thousands.
In regards to the case of avian influenza that caused some concerns in the community, added Elies, the company has not been directly impacted. The company had been able to anticipate by implementing production system that immunes towards the avian influenza (immunization of the birds).
